Research has shown that people consistently select four characteristics to describe the leaders they would choose to follow. They are: Honesty. Inspiring. Competent and Forward-Looking (Kouzes & Posner, 2012). These four characteristics that followers expect of leaders add up to what communications experts freer to as source credibility (Berlo, Lemert & Mertz, 1969).
In this week’s video I explore how this all fits together to give us one definition of leadership.
