The Importance of the Clarity of Expectations

One of the themes that comes out in my work as an Executive and leadership Coach is the importance understanding whether or not you are being clear on what your expectations are for your team. This week’s Vlog explores how you can increase your clarity for two of the four behaviour styles in the SOCIAL STYLEs Model. If you would like to learn more about the other two styles, reach out to me and set a call.

How to Build Your EQ using Social Styles

The primary tool I use in my work as an Executive/leadership Coach is Social Styles by Tracom. This behaviour and communications model is easily understood and accessible by everyone in every type of organization. One of the things  have realized over the many years of both using and teaching this model is how it impacts Emotional Intelligence (EQ). In this week’s Vlog II explore the Social Style model and its significant impact on building EQ.

John K Whitehead & Associates coaches individuals and organizations in becoming more effective by helping them improve their interpersonal communications, emotional intelligence, and resiliency.

DEI – About Culture and Policies

Workplace policies reflect what the company values, as well as what they do not value. To improve diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workplace, workplace policies can be very influential for creating rules and standards that are fair for every employee. They help to communicate priorities, as well as boundaries. They help create a culture of DEI. In this weeks Volg we explore what to think about and include when drafting DEI policy and the handling of complaints.

DEI – What Is Cultural Intelligence?

Cultural intelligence, or cultural quotient, is a foundational link to diversity, equity, and inclusion. It is the ability to be attentive and adaptable in culturally diverse situations. An inclusive leader can successfully interact with team members from various backgrounds. To do this, it is critical to pay attention to the experiences and words expressed from others. Cultural intelligence requires a strong desire to deepen cultural understanding, which in turn will lead inclusive leaders to value cultural differences. This week’s Vlog post looks at how inclusive leader be aware of their own experiences and culture, and how this impacts leadership.
